Low Cost Seedlings Now Available for Your Farmstead

In response to the many requests we receive, Alberta Nurseries is now offering an expanded Seedling List.

The varieties being offered compliment those in the Farmstead Program. Trees such as Weeping Birch, American Elm and Swedish Aspen make excellent additions to any farmstead landscape. Garden Centers sell two and three year old trees for a substantial premium making the larger scale plantings most often found in rural areas cost prohibitive. These seedlings are an excellent low cost alternative.

The new listing also includes an excellent selection of Fruit bushes. Alberta Nurseries is now offering seedlings used for orchard plantings to its Farmstead customers. These berry producing varieties include: Cranberry, Blueberry and Saskatoon seedlings. Evans Cherry is now also available. These fruits are great for making jams, jellies, preserves and wine. For the first time, Raspberry seedlings are going to be made available. The transplant success rate on all of these seedlings is great if given proper care.
